About Chitwan National Park Tour
The Royal Chitwan National Park is 158.6 km South West of Kathmandu and houses the first National Park of the Kingdom. It is famous for its variety of wildlife especially the Great Indian One horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. This is one of the few places in the world where one can still see the Bengal Tiger and the Indian Rhino in the wild. Chitwan has a variety of animals such as leopards, bears, monkeys, various species of deer, wild boar, and about 400 species of birds. Also at the park are approximately 60 Bengal Tigers. Chitwan National Park is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites because of the importance of its biodiversity.
